About Me
Hello, my name is Anthony Gowland and I’m a video game creator based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
I spend the majority of my time thinking about, working on, playing, or writing about, video games – hence “Mainly About Games”. I am a self-confessed content tourist, and I play to experience all of the cool things that games are able to show me, rather than to be challenged.
I have been a designer in the games industry since graduating university in 2000, though I have been making games and game levels as a hobby for close to twenty five years.
My professional credits include senior and lead design roles on such acclaimed titles as Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, and the 2010 Game of the Year Red Dead Redemption.
I am now offering my years of knowledge and expertise for contract hire, and spend the rest of my working day creating whichever addictive little game designs take my fancy.
